Good Bad Things

Watch Trailer
Overview

Danny (newcomer Danny Kurtzman) and Jason (Brett Dier) do everything together: they’re best friends, business partners, and even roommates. Danny, who lives with muscular dystrophy, is disillusioned by past relationships and is still hurting over a recent breakup. Despite having supportive friends and family, he feels like something is missing and hopes to open up to love again. As luck would have it, Danny and Jason’s design firm is up for a contract with a dating app – which Danny insists he will download for research purposes only, of course! An unexpected match with Madi (Jessica Parker Kennedy), an enigmatic photographer, challenges him to be vulnerable and sparks a profound journey of self-acceptance, as Danny discovers and shares the extraordinary beauty of his unique body. Executive produced by Steve Way (from Hulu’s Ramy), this Slamdance-award winning love story will move and inspire audiences of all kinds and shine a light on an authentic reflection of living with a disability.

Unstoppable Grand Jury Prize

Slamdance Film Festival 2024

"An intimate, small story about the gigantic issue that challenges and terrifies us all: the collision between the desperate need to be seen and loved and the fear that what people might see will repel rather than attract them.” ... "This movie is one of those good good things.”

Nell Minow

RogerEbert.com

“Let’s be frank: we are all disabled, to one extent or another. In Good Bad Things, Danny Kurtzman stands up, opens his heart, calls for change, and gives a wonderful performance as an imperfect man who wants love in his life. As do we all.”

Peter A Martin

Dallas Film Now

“For a first-time lead, Danny is incredibly captivating in an award-worthy performance that’s bigger than simply the guy you root for in a love story. He deserves and earns more than merely that.”
